Ulthera Sculpt
Ultrasound lifting for the face, eyes, neck and jawline.
- Soft jawline
- Loose cheeks
- Heavy brow
- Neck laxity
- Early sagging
What is Ulthera Sculpt?
Ulthera Sculpt sends focused ultrasound past the surface into the deeper support layer of the face — the layer a surgeon would tighten. The energy creates controlled points of heat there, and the body responds over the following months by laying down new collagen.
That delay is the point and the catch. Nothing dramatic happens on the day; the lift builds over weeks and months. It is not a facelift and does not replace one, and anyone who needs surgery should be told so rather than sold a course.
This is not a facelift and it is not a substitute for one. It tightens what is already there by prompting your own collagen; it cannot remove skin, and on a face with significant laxity it will do less than you hope. A consultation will tell you plainly which of those two situations you are in.
- Time
- Depends on the areas treated, set at assessment
- Downtime
- Usually little. Tenderness and mild swelling can follow
- Sessions
- Often a single treatment, reviewed after months
- Results
- Build over weeks to months
- Comfort
- Deep, brief pulses of heat under the skin — felt, but not on the surface
Is this the right treatment for you?
Jawline softening but not yet heavy?
This works best on early laxity, before there is a lot to lift.
Patient enough to wait for it?
The result is months away. If you need something for next week, this is the wrong treatment.
Want to avoid surgery?
It is one of the non-surgical options for the deep layer. It is not equivalent to surgery and should not be sold as such.
Significant sagging already?
You may be told honestly that this will not be enough, and what would be.
When it is not appropriate
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, recent isotretinoin use, photosensitising medication, and a history of keloid scarring all need to be raised before anything is booked. Tell the practitioner about every medication and supplement you are taking. Implants or metal in the treatment area, and active skin infection, must be raised.
What happens in a session
Consult
The face is assessed, the depth and areas planned, and baseline photos taken.
Map
The treatment lines are marked so the energy is placed evenly and nothing is missed.
Treat
The handpiece delivers focused ultrasound along the mapped lines. Brief deep heat is normal.
Review
You leave with aftercare, and progress is reviewed after a few months once collagen has responded.
Still deciding?
Consultation is free. You will be told plainly whether Ulthera Sculpt is the right fit, and what to do instead if it is not.

Ulthera Sculpt, answered
Is this a facelift?
No. It works on the same deep layer a surgeon addresses, but the effect is tightening rather than lifting and repositioning. If you want the result of surgery, you need surgery.
When will I see it?
Weeks to months. Collagen does not respond overnight. Photos at baseline are what make the change visible later.
Does it hurt?
There is brief deep heat as each line is delivered. Most people find it manageable; comfort is checked throughout and settings adjusted.
When will I see a difference?
There is often a small immediate tightening, but the real change comes from collagen laid down over the following weeks and months. This is a treatment judged at the three-month mark, not the three-day one.
How long does it last?
Months rather than weeks, varying widely by person, age and skin. It does not stop ageing — it resets the starting point, and when to repeat it is decided at review rather than on a calendar.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Commonly sequenced with skin and facial work, spaced so each is judged on its own. Stacking two lifting treatments close together makes it impossible to tell which one worked.
