Face Pulse Lift
Muscle stimulation for the face, as a course.
- Loss of tone
- Soft contour
- Tired-looking face
- Early laxity
What is Face Pulse Lift?
Face Pulse Lift works on the muscles rather than the skin. Gentle electrical pulses are applied across the face, contracting muscle in a way a facial expression does not, with the aim of improving tone and the contour that sits on top of it.
It is comfortable and there is nothing to recover from. It is also a course treatment: a single session gives a lift you will notice for a day or two, while the lasting change belongs to the series.
It works the muscle, not the skin surface and not the fat layer. It will not clear pigment, it will not resurface texture, and on skin with significant laxity it will not take the place of an ultrasound or radiofrequency treatment. It is a tone treatment, and it is honest about being one.
- Time
- Allow around an hour; confirmed at booking
- Downtime
- None
- Sessions
- A course, usually closely spaced at first
- Results
- Visible briefly after one; lasting change across the course
- Comfort
- A pulsing tug as the muscle contracts — strange at first, then unremarkable
Is this the right treatment for you?
Want lift without needles or heat?
Nothing is injected and nothing is heated here.
Have an event this week?
A single session gives a short-lived lift, which is exactly what people book it for.
Prepared to do a series?
The lasting change comes from the course. One session is a preview.
Pacemaker or implanted device?
Raise it immediately — electrical stimulation is not appropriate for everyone.
When it is not appropriate
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, recent isotretinoin use, photosensitising medication, and a history of keloid scarring all need to be raised before anything is booked. Tell the practitioner about every medication and supplement you are taking. A pacemaker or any implanted electrical device, epilepsy, and metal in the treatment area all rule this out or require clearance first.
What happens in a session
Consult
Your face is assessed and any implanted device or metal is ruled out.
Prepare
The skin is cleansed and conductive gel applied.
Treat
Pulses are worked across the face, intensity raised to what is comfortable for you.
Finish
The skin is cleansed and moisturised, and the course spacing is set.
Still deciding?
Consultation is free. You will be told plainly whether Face Pulse Lift is the right fit, and what to do instead if it is not.

Face Pulse Lift, answered
What does it feel like?
A tapping or fluttering as the muscle contracts. It should never be painful; intensity is set with you, not at you.
Is this like a non-surgical facelift?
No. It works on muscle tone, not the deep support layer. Ulthera Sculpt and HIFU address that, and the difference is explained at consultation.
How long does one session last?
A day or two of visible lift. The course is what changes things for longer.
Can I have it with other treatments?
Often yes, and it is frequently combined. The order and spacing are planned rather than left to chance.
When will I see a difference?
Many people notice a difference immediately after a session that then fades. The lasting change is what accumulates across a course.
How long does it last?
Like any muscle work, it fades without maintenance. Most people who keep the result come back at an interval set at review.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Pairs readily with skin treatments, because it works a different layer. The schedule is planned so neither is done on recovering skin.
