What is ReformX Face & Neck?
ReformX uses radiofrequency to warm the dermis to a temperature that provokes a collagen response, held there while the handpiece is worked across the area. Unlike focused ultrasound, the heat is spread rather than delivered to points at a set depth.
It is comfortable — most people describe it as a hot stone massage — and it has no real downtime. It is also firmly a course treatment: the change is cumulative, and anyone promising a single-session transformation is overselling it.
It firms and defines. It does not remove volume, it does not replace volume that has been lost, and it will not resolve pigment or scarring. Where the face has lost support rather than tone, this is the wrong treatment and the consultation will say so.

When it is not appropriate
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, recent isotretinoin use, photosensitising medication, and a history of keloid scarring all need to be raised before anything is booked. Tell the practitioner about every medication and supplement you are taking. A pacemaker or implanted electrical device, and metal in the treatment area, must be raised first.

Does it hurt?
It should feel like comfortable heat, not pain. Temperature is checked constantly and adjusted to you.
How many sessions?
A course, set at assessment. Radiofrequency asks for more sessions than focused ultrasound but is gentler each time.
Can I combine it with HIFU?
Often yes, and the two are sometimes planned together. The sequence matters, so it is planned rather than improvised.
Will it melt my filler?
Raise any filler at consultation. The plan is adjusted around it rather than assumed to be fine.
