What is Smooth Threads?
Smooth threads are the same dissolvable material as lifting threads but without the barbs, so they do not pull tissue anywhere. They are placed through an area and the body responds by laying down collagen along each one, which firms and thickens the skin over the following weeks.
They do not lift. Where the complaint is tissue that has descended, these are the wrong treatment and the lifting kind — or something else entirely — should be discussed instead.

When it is not appropriate
This is a medical procedure and it is carried out by a doctor. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, any bleeding or clotting disorder, blood-thinning medication, active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, a history of keloid scarring, and any autoimmune or neuromuscular condition all have to be raised before anything is booked. Bring a full list of your medicines and supplements, including the ones you would not think to mention.
