Mesolipo
Injections that break down fat in a specific, limited area.
- Double chin
- Stubborn tummy pocket
- Localised fat
- Areas diet has not shifted
What is Mesolipo?
Mesolipo is a series of small injections placed into a defined pocket of fat. The solution works to break down the fat cells in that pocket, and the body clears the result over the following weeks.
It is for small, specific areas — the classic one is under the chin. It is not a weight-loss treatment and it will not reshape a whole body. It is also assessed in person without exception: what is injected, how much, and whether anything should be injected at all is decided at consultation.
It works on small, defined pockets — a double chin, a stubborn area that has not shifted. It is not a weight loss treatment and it is not suitable for large areas. Swelling afterwards is expected and can be marked, and anyone not prepared for a week of looking worse before looking better should know that before booking rather than after.
- Time
- A short session; set at assessment
- Downtime
- Swelling and bruising are expected and can last days
- Sessions
- A course, spaced weeks apart
- Results
- Gradual, over weeks after each session
- Comfort
- A series of small stings, then an ache and swelling for a few days
Is this the right treatment for you?
A small pocket that will not shift?
Localised, defined fat is what this is for.
Double chin specifically?
It is the area most often treated and the one that responds most visibly.
Prepared for swelling?
Swelling under the chin is expected and obvious for a few days. Plan around it.
Looking for weight loss?
This is the wrong treatment, and you should be told so plainly.
When it is not appropriate
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, recent isotretinoin use, photosensitising medication, and a history of keloid scarring all need to be raised before anything is booked. Tell the practitioner about every medication and supplement you are taking. Bleeding disorders, blood-thinning medication, and autoimmune conditions must be raised. Injectables are assessed in person, without exception.
What happens in a session
Consult
The area is assessed in person, the pocket defined, and suitability decided before anything is booked.
Prepare
The area is cleansed and marked, and numbing applied where it helps.
Inject
A series of small injections is placed across the marked area.
Aftercare
The area is cooled and you leave with aftercare covering the swelling to expect.
Still deciding?
Consultation is free. You will be told plainly whether Mesolipo is the right fit, and what to do instead if it is not.

Mesolipo, answered
How swollen will I be?
Under the chin, noticeably, for several days. This is the treatment to book well before an event, never just before one.
How many sessions?
A course, set at assessment and reviewed as it runs. It depends on the size of the pocket.
Will the fat come back?
Treated fat cells are cleared, but remaining cells can still enlarge with weight gain. Maintaining your weight is part of keeping the result.
Is it safe?
It is assessed in person every time, and it is not suitable for everyone. Your medication list genuinely matters here.
When will I see a difference?
Not quickly. Swelling has to settle first, which takes days to a couple of weeks, and the real change shows across the course after that.
How long does it last?
Treated fat does not return, but untreated fat around it still responds to weight gain. Stable weight is what makes the result hold.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Often sequenced with tightening work, because reducing a pocket can leave skin that needs firming. The order is planned at consultation.
