RF Tummy
Radiofrequency tightening for the tummy.
- Loose abdominal skin
- Crepey texture
- Post-pregnancy laxity
- Loss of firmness
What is RF Tummy?
Radiofrequency warms the dermis to a working temperature and holds it there while the handpiece is moved across the area, provoking a collagen response. Spread heat rather than focused points, which is why it is comfortable and why it asks for more sessions.
On the abdomen it is aimed at firmness and texture rather than volume. It pairs naturally with cooling or injectable work when there is fat as well as laxity, and that combination is planned rather than sold as one treatment doing everything.
Radiofrequency firms and tightens. It is not a fat removal treatment and it will not take the place of one where there is a real fat pocket. It also cannot tighten skin that has lost its elasticity entirely — after significant weight loss or multiple pregnancies, there is a point past which only surgery changes it, and you will be told if you are at it.

Is this the right treatment for you?
Want firming with no downtime?
You can go straight back to your day.
Find stronger treatments uncomfortable?
This is the gentle route, in exchange for more sessions.
Texture as well as looseness?
Crepey skin tends to respond well.
Pacemaker or implanted device?
Raise it immediately — radiofrequency is not appropriate for everyone.
When it is not appropriate
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, a pacemaker or implanted electrical device, hernia in the treatment area, active infection, and any condition affecting circulation or sensation must all be raised before anything is booked. Tell the practitioner about every medication and supplement you are taking.

RF Tummy, answered
Does it hurt?
It should feel like comfortable heat. Temperature is checked constantly and set to you.
Will it remove fat?
No. It works on firmness and texture. If fat is the concern, the assessment will say so and point you elsewhere.
How many sessions?
A course, set at assessment. Radiofrequency is cumulative by nature.
Can I combine it with cooling?
Often yes, and the two are frequently planned together. Sequence and spacing are decided at assessment.
When will I see a difference?
Skin often looks and feels firmer soon after a session. The lasting change builds across the course as collagen responds.
How long does it last?
Months, and better where weight is stable. Maintenance is planned at review rather than booked in advance.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Very commonly combined, since it addresses skin quality while other treatments address fat or muscle.
