Hair Fillers
A bioactive peptide treatment for thinning hair and scalp condition.
- Thinning hair
- Weak, fine hair
- Poor scalp condition
- Widening parting
- Hair that breaks easily
What is Hair Fillers?
Hair fillers are a prepared solution of peptides and nutrients placed into the scalp in small amounts across the thinning area. The intention is to strengthen the follicle and improve the condition of the skin it sits in, so the hair it produces is less fine and less fragile.
It is a conditioning treatment for follicles that still work. Like everything else in this family it will not reopen a follicle that has closed, and like everything else it is a course — a single session is not a treatment.
This conditions the follicle and the scalp it sits in. It will not reopen a closed follicle, it will not change a genetic pattern of loss, and it is not a substitute for medical treatment where there is a medical cause. If something other than the follicle is driving the shedding, a course here treats the wrong thing well.
- Time
- A short session; confirmed at booking
- Downtime
- Tenderness and small marks on the scalp, usually a day
- Sessions
- A course over several weeks, then review
- Results
- Hair quality tends to change before density does
- Comfort
- Small, brief stings across the scalp, and a tender hour afterwards
Is this the right treatment for you?
Hair gone fine and breaks easily?
Quality rather than quantity is what this works on first, and it is often what people notice first too.
Scalp dry, flaky or irritated?
Scalp condition is part of what this addresses. Raise it, because an unhealthy scalp undermines every other hair treatment.
Not keen on a blood draw?
This is the option in this family that does not begin with taking blood.
Want it done once and finished?
Then this is not the right treatment. It is a course, and stopping partway is close to not starting.
When it is not appropriate
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, recent isotretinoin use, photosensitising medication, and a history of keloid scarring all need to be raised before anything is booked. Tell the practitioner about every medication and supplement you are taking. Active scalp infection, open or broken skin on the scalp, and any known allergy to the solution used must be raised before booking.
What happens in a session
Assess
The scalp and the pattern of thinning are examined, and baseline photographs are taken.
Prepare
The scalp is cleaned and the treatment area mapped.
Treat
The solution is placed in small amounts across the area.
Review
Progress is checked against the baseline rather than against expectation.

Hair Fillers, answered
Is this the same as PRP?
No. PRP uses your own plasma; this uses a prepared peptide solution. They target the same follicles by different means, and which one suits you is an assessment decision.
How soon would I notice anything?
Texture and strength tend to shift before visible density does, and both take weeks. Anyone promising a change in days is not describing hair.
Can I combine it with the laser regrowth?
They are often planned together, because one works on the follicle directly and the other on the scalp environment. The order and spacing are set at consultation.
When will I see a difference?
Hair quality — strength, thickness of the individual strand — tends to shift before visible density does. Both are measured in weeks and months, not days.
How long does it last?
As a conditioning treatment it fades without maintenance, and the interval is set at review rather than assumed in advance.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
It pairs readily with the laser regrowth, which works on a different part of the same problem. Running both is common and is planned rather than stacked.
