Exosomes Hair
Exosome therapy applied to the scalp to support follicle function.
- Thinning at the crown
- Diffuse hair loss
- Weak, fine hair
- Poor scalp condition
- Stalled regrowth
What is Exosomes Hair?
Exosomes are tiny carriers that cells use to signal to one another. In a scalp treatment they are introduced across the thinning area with the aim of prompting follicles that have slowed to behave more like healthy ones.
This is the newest treatment in this family and the honest position is that the evidence behind it is younger than the evidence behind PRP. It is offered here, it is not presented as a certainty, and if you want the better-established option you should be pointed at it rather than talked out of it.
The same limit applies as to everything else here: a closed follicle stays closed. Beyond that, this is the newest option in the family and the evidence behind it is younger than the evidence behind PRP. That is not a reason to avoid it, but it is a reason to be told about it, and anyone selling it to you as the obvious upgrade is overstating what is known.

Is this the right treatment for you?
Tried other hair treatments without much change?
This is often considered after something else has stalled. Bring what you have already done to the consultation.
Thinning diffusely rather than in patches?
Diffuse thinning with live follicles is what this is aimed at.
Want the most established option?
Then ask about PRP. It has been done for longer and studied more, and that is a reasonable basis for choosing.
Expecting a guarantee?
There is not one here, and you should be suspicious of anywhere that offers one for hair.
When it is not appropriate
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, recent isotretinoin use, photosensitising medication, and a history of keloid scarring all need to be raised before anything is booked. Tell the practitioner about every medication and supplement you are taking. Active scalp infection or inflammation, and any current treatment from a dermatologist for hair loss, should be raised first so nothing is done twice or at cross purposes.

Exosomes Hair, answered
Does it work?
It is used for this and the early picture is encouraging, but the evidence base is newer and thinner than for PRP. That is the honest answer and it is the one you should be given at consultation as well.
Is it better than PRP?
Not demonstrably. It is different. Which suits you depends on your scalp, your history and what you want to take on, and that is an assessment decision.
How long before a verdict?
Months. Hair does not move faster than hair, whatever the treatment.
When will I see a difference?
Months, judged against the baseline photographs. Hair does not move faster for being treated with something newer.
How long does it last?
Maintenance is expected rather than optional, and the interval comes out of the review.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Often considered where another approach has stalled. Bring what you have already tried, because that history changes the recommendation.
