What is Under Eye Skin Booster?
The skin under the eye is the thinnest on the face and behaves differently from everywhere else. A skin booster places a small amount of hydrating material into that skin to improve its quality — how it holds light, how it creases — rather than to fill a hollow.
Under-eye complaints have several causes and most of them are not skin quality. Shadow from bone structure, puffiness from fluid, pigment, and simple tiredness all look similar in a mirror and answer to different things or to nothing. This is the area where the most common honest answer is that no treatment will fix what is bothering you, and you should be given that answer.
This improves the quality of under-eye skin. It does not fill a hollow, it does not remove puffiness, and it does not lighten darkness that comes from the shadow of your own bone structure or from pigment — which together account for most of what people mean by dark circles. The most useful thing this consultation can do is work out which of those you actually have, and it is allowed to conclude that nothing here will help.

When it is not appropriate
This is a medical procedure and it is carried out by a doctor. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, any bleeding or clotting disorder, blood-thinning medication, active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, a history of keloid scarring, and any autoimmune or neuromuscular condition all have to be raised before anything is booked. Bring a full list of your medicines and supplements, including the ones you would not think to mention. The under-eye is an unforgiving area with significant blood vessels. Previous filler, any history of under-eye swelling, and thyroid eye conditions must all be raised.

Will this get rid of my dark circles?
Only if the darkness is coming from skin quality. Where it comes from the shadow of your own bone structure, or from pigment, it will not, and that is worked out before anything is injected.
Is it risky?
The under-eye carries more risk than most areas because of the blood vessels around it. It is done conservatively and by a doctor, and the risks are explained before you consent.
