What is Pico Laser Underarm?
Underarm darkening usually comes from a mix of friction, shaving and product irritation, and the pigment it leaves can sit deeper than scrubs or creams reach. Pico Laser works on that deeper pigment the same way it does on the face, by shattering it so the body can clear it.
It is worked as a course. How many sessions depends on how long the darkening has been there and what is still causing it — which is why shaving habits and deodorant come up at the consultation rather than being treated as beside the point.
It treats pigment. It does not remove hair, it does not stop sweating, and it will not fix darkening that is actually chronic irritation from shaving or friction. If that is the cause, the laser is the wrong answer and you will be told so at consultation.

When it is not appropriate
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, recent isotretinoin use, photosensitising medication, and a history of keloid scarring all need to be raised before anything is booked. Tell the practitioner about every medication and supplement you are taking. The area must not be broken, shaved raw or irritated on the day.

How many sessions?
Set at assessment and reviewed as the course runs. Longstanding darkening takes longer.
Can I still shave?
Yes, just not immediately after a session, and a fresh blade matters more than you would think.
Will it stop the darkening coming back?
Only if what caused it changes too. The laser clears pigment; it does not stop friction or irritation making more.
Hydra or laser for my underarms?
Hydra clears surface build-up and texture; laser reaches deeper pigment. The assessment decides, and sometimes it is both.
When will I see a difference?
Usually gradual across a course. Expect direction after the first session or two rather than a finished result.
How long does it last?
Cleared pigment stays cleared, but the habits that caused it will cause it again. Switching from shaving to another method, and giving up tight synthetic fabrics, matters as much as the sessions do.
