What is Emerald Facial?
The Emerald Facial runs through several stages in one session: the skin is cleansed, softened, cleared of congestion, then treated and calmed. Each stage uses a different handpiece or solution, which is what separates it from a single-step facial.
It is maintenance rather than transformation. It makes the skin cleaner and smoother now, and it makes a laser or lifting course more comfortable later. Most people book it on a rhythm rather than once.
What it will not do is change the structure of your face or remove pigment at depth. A facial works on the surface and the layer just beneath it: congestion, hydration, the quality of the skin you can see and touch. Lifting, pigment and texture at depth are different treatments, and if that is what you came in for you will be told so rather than sold a course of facials.

Say so at booking. Inflamed, infected skin is calmed first — extraction on angry skin makes it worse.
When it is not appropriate
Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or inflamed skin in the treatment area, recent isotretinoin use, photosensitising medication, and a history of keloid scarring all need to be raised before anything is booked. Tell the practitioner about every medication and supplement you are taking.

How often should I have one?
Many people settle on roughly monthly, which tracks the skin's own renewal cycle. The practitioner will suggest a rhythm for your skin rather than a fixed rule.
Will it clear my acne?
It helps congestion and keeps the skin clean, and it is often part of an acne plan. It is not a cure for acne on its own, and you should be told that plainly at consultation.
Can I have it before an event?
Yes — it is one of the few treatments here with essentially no downtime. Leaving a day or two is still sensible.
Does extraction hurt?
Some areas are more tender than others, the nose especially. Tell the therapist as it happens; pressure and pace are adjusted.
When will I see a difference?
Most people see the difference the same day, mostly in how clean and hydrated the skin looks. That first result settles within a few days; what builds over a course is the baseline it settles back to.
How long does it last?
A single facial is not permanent — skin keeps producing oil and keeps being exposed to the city. Most people who want the result held book at a regular interval, and what that interval should be is set after your skin has been seen, not before.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Facials are the treatment most often run alongside something else, because clean, hydrated skin tolerates lasers and lifting better. The order and spacing are planned at consultation so nothing is done on skin that is still recovering.
